"AI for SDGs: Leveraging new digital technologies to reach development goals" is a webinar series organized by Engage AI, a pioneering and experimental nonprofit organization working to support the deployment of artificial intelligence / machine learning (AI/ML) in diverse communities throughout the world. The series will cover the following topics:

About the speakers:
• ART WESTNEAT is a political economist with a 40-year career working on African economic issues, particularly in agriculture and the private sector. His Ph.D. is a jointly conferred degree in public policy and political science. Dr. Westneat also holds degrees in economics and agricultural economics. • RYAN T. WHITE is a mathematician, researcher, and consultant with expertise in machine learning (ML) and probability theory, algorithm development and data science. Dr. White is an assistant professor of mathematics at the Florida Institute of Technology, where he leads an active research program centered on stochastic analysis and related algorithms. • EMAD TINAWI is Engage-AI’s founder. He has more than 30 years of experience in social and economic development, specifically in the Middle East. Mr. Tinawi has worked closely with senior government leaders on economic growth and social fairness and has led economic development projects for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and other governmental institutions.
